Hi! I’m Ryan Chen.
I am a designer, illustrator, and muralist based in Seattle, WA.

I’ve spent the last 9 years weaving my way through the creative industry. I graduated with an Art Education degree only to switch into graphic design and eventually focusing on digital product design. I’ve worked in consulting where I helped clients craft digital experiences for industries spanning from healthcare to retail to non-profits. Recently, I’ve specialized in design systems work and have helped startups like Databricks, Greenhouse and Bestow scale their design systems.

I have always had a passion for making and in the past few years, I’ve started to share/sell my work and take on commissions for illustrations and murals. My work is generally focused on capturing the nuances of human connections, frequently depicting cityscapes and communities of people. Through my art, I strive to highlight the beauty in everyday life and the importance of human relationships.
