Overview

Alteryx is a leader in data science and self-service analytics with a platform that can prep, blend, enrich, and analyze data, manage and deploy predictive models, and share analytics at scale. Alteryx had recently acquired a startup based in Prague, and they were needing to merge their digital product into Alteryx’s existing platform. We identified that having multiple design and development teams across varying time zones led to miscommunication, misalignment and duplicate work - thus, making a case for a unified design system.

My Role

I identified and corrected design inconsistencies from four separate applications. I worked alongside their UX team to build out a comprehensive design Sketch library to help store and maintain all reusable components. I worked in tandem with our development team to build out a 1:1 component library using Material React. I then helped establish an approval board consisting of product, marketing, design and development to validate changes to the design system and ensure uniformity and relevance. I also helped build out new layouts of the Alteryx Designer application.
