Contact Tracing App

Overview

A global biotechnology company approached our firm to help them build a Bluetooth-based contact-tracing mobile app for their employees. Since contact tracing apps are relatively new, our team leaned on products built by Singapore and MIT so that we could deliver something efficiently before their employees would start returning onto campus. The client has done a soft rollout of the app and has seen success, and they are now rolling it out to more campuses. Since this information is sensitive, I have removed all mention of the client name and replaced branding elements with my own branding.

My Role

I analyzed best-in-class solutions and worked with the client to define what technical capabilities we could offer but most importantly how we communicate what the app is doing to our users. We knew that educating the users would be imperative, but we also had a very short time frame to deliver our product. I worked alongside the client’s internal UX and Safety, Health & Environment teams to rapidly prototype and define the user experience. I also created simple illustrations to accompany the instructional copy.
